Big Text: Magnify & Read Aloud · com.nnastudio.bigfont · published by anhnn
Effective date: 8 October 2026
anhnn built Big Text: Magnify & Read Aloud (“Big Text”) as a free application. This page explains what the app
does and does not do with information on your device. By using the app you agree to the practices
described here.
Short version: Big Text does not ask for or collect any personal information.
There is no account, no sign-in and no advertising. The app only sends anonymous usage statistics
and crash reports so we can improve it. Photos you take with the magnifier stay on your device.
Information we collect
The app does not ask for, gather or upload your name, email address, phone number, contacts,
location or photos. There is no registration and no user profile.
To understand which features are used and to fix bugs, the app uses two Google services:
Firebase Analytics — anonymous events such as opening a screen or applying a
font size, together with standard device information (model, Android version, app version,
language and an app-instance identifier).
Firebase Crashlytics — technical crash reports (stack trace, device model,
Android version) when the app stops unexpectedly.
The app contains no advertising SDK and no in-app purchases.
Data stored on your device
The app saves a small amount of data locally. This data never leaves your device:
The custom font sizes you name and save.
Photos you capture with the magnifier, saved to your device's picture gallery, and the list
of those photos shown inside the app.
The display language you select and whether you have already seen the introduction.
Uninstalling the app deletes this data (photos already saved to your gallery stay there until you delete them).
Permissions
Modify system settings — the core feature: changing the system-wide font size
that you choose. Android asks you to grant this on a separate system screen.
Camera — only for the magnifier, to show an enlarged live view, take photos
when you tap the shutter and find text when you tap Read text. Text recognition and
reading aloud run entirely on your device. Images and text are never uploaded.
Vibrate — a short haptic feedback when taking a photo.
Storage (Android 9 and older only) — to save photos you take with the
magnifier to your device's picture gallery. On Android 10 and newer this permission is not
requested. The app does not read or upload your other files.
The app requests no other permissions.
Children's privacy
Big Text is a general-audience utility. It does not knowingly collect personal information from
anyone, including children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and have any question about
the app, please contact us using the address below.
Security
Data created by the app is protected by Android's standard per-app sandbox on your device.
Analytics and crash data are transmitted to Google over encrypted connections.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any change will be posted on this page with an
updated effective date, and will be included in a subsequent version of the app.
